Integrated maintenance management.

Status assessment - Activity planning

Focused maintenance management starts with the assessment and evaluation of the current status. When assessing the status of pipework, a structural evaluation is not enough. The Status assessment and Activity Planning module allows you to enter a variety of boundary conditions for status assessment.

Only the parallel consideration of hydraulic, geological and environmental aspects (boundary conditions) can make it possible to identify real priorities and convert the status data into economically and ecologically optimized maintenance concepts.

The information gained from recording and evaluating the status then makes it possible to decide the necessary maintenance measures and assess the associated costs.

Functions:

  • Automatic damage classification
  • Automatic identification of the overall tube condition
  • Rehabilitation planning with automatic cost estimate
  • Planning of structural measures
  • Informative reports

Benefits for inspectors:

Thanks to the classification function, inspectors are able to produce a value to communicate to the customer with no additional effort because all the damage is automatically classified objectively and in full at the time they submit their project. If they are able to do without Activity Planning then this reduces the license cost thus making it possible to recoup the costs of procurement more quickly.

Benefits for engineers:

A series of fields have been incorporated in the WinCan screen specifically for engineers. These contribute to the conduct of economically and ecologically valuable rehabilitation planning. The fact that damage and structures no longer have to be classified manually significantly increases productivity and helps to reduce costs. Activity Planning also permits the rapid, efficient rehabilitation planning of manholes and pipes.

Benefits for municipal authorities:

The historical function allows authorities to trace the development of each individual structure over time. All inspections, cleaning operations and structural measures are available at all times. If they require, Activity Planning also gives them complete control over all the rehabilitation measures that are currently being conducted as well as a comprehensive overview of the expected financial requirement.

Operational maintenance planning

The objectives of operational maintenance planning are to guarantee functionality and extend the lifespan of pipes and manholes. DATAVER® waste water provides the foundations for sound long-term planning, enabling you to determine the required level of work, staffing and costs over the coming years.

Functions:

  • Any number of activities (HPC, inspections, manhole draining etc.) per maintenance planning project
  • Full control over zones, prices, effort assumptions, schedules etc.
  • Macro-area planning (entire city districts) can be defined right down as far as structure level
  • Function to optimize the financial requirements for planning projects
  • Intuitive operating concept
  • Informative reports (rinsing plans, state of work, costs etc.)

Benefits for planners:

The Operational Maintenance Planning module significantly reduces the time required to create a maintenance planning project for the coming years. It also provides a range of easy-to-use functions which permit the subsequent improvement of developed planning projects and adapt them to changing circumstances. The clearly structured reports mean that users have a permanent overview of the progress of the work.

Statistics

This module provides a fast, easy way to prepare the data generated in the WinCan and DATAVER® modules professionally and comprehensibly. These statistics represent the perfect complement to the Status Classification, Activity Planning and Analysis modules.

Functions:

  • Statistics on general network data (usage type, groundwater protection etc.)
  • Statistics on network status (individual damage class, rehabilitation requirement etc.)
  • Damage statistics
  • Structure-based or length-based evaluation of the statistics
  • Interactive statistics directly in the module
  • Export of statistics as image file or PDF
  • Detailed filter capabilities and user-configurable layout

Benefits for inspectors:

When a job has been completed, the statistics provide an easy, uncomplicated way of classifying the statuses of the examined structures. The statistics in combination with the reports from the Status Classification and Activity Planning modules are persuasive arguments when communicating with customers.

Benefits for engineers:

The "Time Machine" function allows you to generate statistics for any given time. For example, you can visualize the impacts of a rehabilitation stage by comparing the statistics before and after rehabilitation. Required activities can also be presented in greater detail and more intelligibly thanks to the use of statistics.

Benefits for municipalities:

This module provides you with a quick, efficient way to obtain an overview of your pipe system without having to immerse yourself in a mass of documents. The statistics help you to illustrate progress and requirements relating to the pipe system to local residents in a visual, intelligible way.

Analysis

Integrated in WinCan Map, the DATAVER® Analysis module extends the functionality by making it possible to create planned analyses on the basis of a wide variety of attributes. This module enables users to incorporate spatial interdependencies and geographical factors in their maintenance management operations, thus permitting a uniform, consistent management strategy.

Functions:

  • Planned analyses on the basis of a wide range of attributes (usage type, groundwater protection areas, damage groups, tube status, rehabilitation requirement etc.)
  • WinCan attributes taken over via planning files
  • Creation of group assignments for operational maintenance planning
  • by drawing the areas on the plan
  • by importing existing planning data
  • Printing of plans/rinsing plans in all commonly used formats

Benefits for engineers:

Engineers can use the information, for example, to react to localized concentrations of specific types of damage or group together rehabilitation operations and thus achieve more cost-efficient planning.

Benefits for municipalities:

This module provides you with a quick, efficient way to obtain a geographical overview of your pipe system. This planning information enables you to extend your documentation with a complementary visual aspect and in this way make damage and forthcoming rehabilitation requirements comprehensible to all administrative levels and groups in the community.
